Why Tots & Tales Matters
Tots & Tales is a nurturing programme created to support children during their most important early years. Designed especially for little ones aged 1–3, the sessions combine specialist knowledge in Developmental Play with a gentle, playful approach that celebrates each child’s unique abilities while encouraging new skills to emerge.
Grounded in the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Schema Theory, every session supports key areas of early development — from communication and language, to physical development, early maths, and a love of stories and words.

A Gentle Bridge Into Nursery or School
Tots & Tales offers a natural introduction to structured play, helping children build confidence and skills that will ease their transition into nursery or school life. At the same time, we recognise that children thrive best when their whole environment supports them. That’s why we share simple, practical ideas that parents can take home, helping families create consistent opportunities for learning, connection, and fun beyond the group.
Space to Play and Explore
Sessions are carefully structured to balance guided activities with plenty of freedom for children to explore and express themselves. In this safe, supportive environment, every child — whatever stage of development they are at — can engage with the story in a way that is meaningful to them. Parents also get to see how storytelling and play weave together to support their child’s growth, confidence, and joy of learning.
