These experiences don’t end in the hospital. They shape every part of life: how we parent, how we work, how we cope with changing relationships, and how we manage the financial strain of time off work or being unable to return at all.
In the North East, hundreds—if not thousands—of families are living with the long-term impact of these events. Our specialist team is a lifeline for many of them.
Our Unique Approach
What makes us different is the way we bring together two powerful strengths:
Lived experience
Every member of our team has walked this path.
Specialist knowledge
We’ve invested heavily in training to make sure our support is second to none.
Combined approach
We utilise our lived experience with all elements of our training to give families in our care continuity of care throughout. This allows us to deliver a really robust level of care to every family that walks through our door. When needed we work in partnership with many wonderful organisations locally to ensure that no matter what, families know, we’ve got you.
In the past five years, we’ve committed significant resources to upskilling our team. From child development and sensory integration, to neuroscience and trauma-informed care—we’ve built expertise that families can trust.
When you meet one of our team, you’re not only meeting a parent who understands, but a trained specialist who knows how to help.
We pride ourselves on responding quickly to the needs of families, adapting our care, working both within the skillset of our team and working collaboratively with our many partners.
